DIXCC

DIXCC, the Drummond Island Cross Country Club, oversees two community nature trails on Drummond Island, The Rainbow Trail and The Heritage Trail.

Inspired by the natural beauty of Drummond Island, several community members looked for ways to increase the enjoyment and use of the land on Drummond while preserving the island’s heritage.  The Heritage Trail and the Rainbow Trail are results of these efforts which began in 2001.

DIXCC is organized in alliance with Island Heritage, a community coalition dedicated to the wellbeing of Drummond Island, its residents and visitors.  The mission of Island Heritage is to identify, preserve and enhance the cultural and natural resources which comprise Drummond Island’s heritage.
