Yes, the cross-country skiing and snowshoeing has been great so far this winter!   The snow is packed with a good base and the frequent snow falls have just added to the enjoyment.

As you all know, this winter season started with a few more strong wind storms that knocked down more trees and branches on both the Rainbow Trail and the Heritage Trail.

Rainbow Cross-Country Ski Trail Conditions:

2-06-09   Tracked.  Solid base.  Tracks shallow in some areas due to very hard base.  

Heritage Trail Conditions:

Very good everywhere!

An area near the shoreline where the Lower and Upper Trails meet has a group of trees down across the trail.  Remarking has been done to join these trails around the trees.
